Elm Grove Lutheran Church values the rich musical and liturgical history of the Lutheran Church.  The recordings below are a small sample of that history.  Many of the recordings can be downloaded immediately to your computer/mp3 player.  All can be purchased on compact disc.  (Click on the link in the “Available from” column to go directly to web site pages to purchase the item.)

Hymns for All Saints - Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, is a 2 disc collection that includes 21 beautifully performed hymns of the season.  You can listen to samples of all tracks here.

O Sing Unto the Lord! is performed by the Seminar Kantorei at Concordia Theological Seminary - Fort Wayne, Indiana.  This album includes 29 beloved hymns arranged for voices, organ and brass. See a complete list of songs here.

And My Mouth Will Declare Your Praise, a companion volume to O Lord, Open My Lips (1995) was recorded by the children’s choirs of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The choir’s members are volunteer, non-auditioned singers from grades 3 – 8 who rehearse once a week to prepare for their task of proclaiming God’s Word through music in the services at St. Paul’s Church, where the recording was made.

Heirs of the Reformation is a 4 disc collection showcasing hymns from Luther’s time through German High Orthodoxy.  The selections include choirs and soloists, modern and historical instruments.  You can listen to samples of all tracks here.

Evening & Morning - the Music of Lutheran Daily Prayer is a beautiful set of recordings of the sung and spoken portions of the Lutheran Church’s prayer services. Performed by the Kantorei of Concordia Theological Seminary. A sample is available here.
